Munich / Nuremberg - In the fight against the coronavirus *, Deutsche Bahn has presented a new plan: DB is now building two vaccination centers at the two pilot locations in Munich and Nuremberg, as stated in a press release by the company today (April 21).

In addition to Munich and Nuremberg *, another eight centers are being planned.

In the future, DB wants to offer its employees a corona vaccination * nationwide.

The employees are to be vaccinated by the company doctors of Deutsche Bahn.

As the company also announced, the vaccination offer should apply if enough vaccines are available.

Then it is the turn of the systemically important employees and, according to DB, that is more than half of the employees in Germany.

"Many of them belong to Group 3 according to the Corona Vaccination Ordinance *," it says.

For the vaccination offer and the vaccination centers, Deutsche Bahn provides IT for appointments, the rooms and the personnel and material equipment.

According to DB Personnel Director Martin Seiler, Deutsche Bahn wants employees to be able to exercise their right to a vaccination as quickly as possible and at the same time contribute to immunizing citizens.

Of course, there is no obligation on the part of the railway, but it does want to make a recommendation.

"The decision to vaccinate is voluntary, there will be no vaccination privileges, neither for employees nor for customers," he explains further in the press release.
