Daraa Water Corporation has started implementing two water projects in Al-Hara and Al-Qunya in Al-Sanamayn, with a total value of SYP 1.75 billion, from which about 50,000 people benefit.
The Assistant Director of the Water Corporation, Engineer Osama al-Qadri, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent today that the first project is devoted to building and equipping a pumping station for the town of Al-Hara in the western countryside to irrigate the city of Al-Harah, indicating that the works consist of a ground tank of 100 cubic meters, a pumping hall and a guard room, provided that the station feeds from the wells of Prince With a total value of 175 million liras.
He added that the second project is a line to drag the town of Al-Qunya in the city of Al-Sanamayn from the Al-Qunya station to irrigate the city of Al-Sanamayn, indicating that the line will be connected to the western reservoir after carrying out the necessary maintenance for it to ensure good pressure and flow of water, at a total cost of up to one billion Syrian pounds.
The Water Corporation seeks to secure new water sources to ease the burdens on citizens, especially those who suffer from water scarcity or sabotage the sources that supply them during the years of the terrorist war on Syria.
