This is the third similar case in six months.
The arrested boy requested more than 50 nude photos and clips. He did not forward or sell the relevant photos and clips after the incident. The police did not rule out that someone committed crimes because of "curiosity about sex."
"The Fifth Personality" was launched in July 2018 as an escape game.

According to the police, the arrested boy met three girls aged between 9 and 12 in an online game. Between December last year and March this year, the boy used various excuses, such as providing weapons and equipment in the game. Etc., to induce the victim to take nude photos or videos. After receiving the photos or videos, the boy did not send out game weapons or equipment to the victim. Instead, he threatened the victim to provide more nude photos or videos with the public footage. So he called the police for help.
The Chief Inspector of the Technology Crime Division of the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Investigation Bureau, Dai Zibin, said that after an in-depth investigation, the police launched an arrest operation yesterday (21st) and arrested a 13-year-old boy in Kwun Tong District on charges of "using, procuring Or provide a person under the age of 18 to make pornographic materials".
During the operation, the police also seized 2 computers and 3 smart phones.
The arrested boy was temporarily released on bail pending further investigation. The operation is still in progress. It is not ruled out that more people will be arrested.
Dai Zibin stated that the boy had requested more than 50 nude photos and clips, and no boy has been found to have reposted or sold related nude photos and clips. It is not ruled out that the 13-year-old arrested boy committed crimes because of his "curiosity about sex". .
The police appealed to the public to report to the police as soon as possible if they find that there are people around them, especially children, who encounter the aforementioned incidents and suspect that they have been defrauded of nudity photos in online games.
The police reiterated that anyone who induces underage children to produce pornographic materials has the opportunity to violate section 138A of the Criminal Offences Ordinance, Chapter 200 of the Laws of Hong Kong. The two crimes can be sentenced to a maximum of 5 years in prison and a fine of 1 million yuan.

The third use of "Fifth Personality" to ask a child for nude photos in half a year

In February of this year, the police received a report from an 11-year-old girl who claimed to have met a netizen while playing the phone game "Fifth Personality". The other party falsely claimed that they could provide rare props and request indecent self-portrait photos and videos from the girl.
The girl took and sent indecent photos 10 times. The other party did not give away any props. If the girl no longer provided indecent photos, the girl would post the photos and videos received earlier on the Internet. Later, he noticed the incident and reported it to the police for help.
In October last year, a 37-year-old primary school teacher in Sham Shui Po met players through "The Fifth Personality", and then used game weapons to induce underage girls to take indecent photos and videos.
A parent later discovered that there was a bare photo of his daughter in the phone and called the police.
The New Territories South Regional Crime Squad arrested the man after investigation, and found multiple indecent photos in his mobile phone, estimated to involve the victimization of 7 underage girls.
