The Ministry of Tourism recently granted a tourist qualification license to three tourism projects in the As-Suwayda governorate, at an estimated cost of about two billion and 200 million pounds.

The Director of Tourism in Sweida, Yarob Al-Arbeed, told SANA's correspondent that the first project is located on the Sweida-Channels road in an area where many tourism projects are spread, indicating that the project is a three-star hotel and swimming pool with a total investment cost of about 1.5 billion pounds and a capacity of 19 hotel rooms. And 38 hotel beds and 260 dining chairs.

Al-Arbeed stated that the second project is a two-star swimming pool and its annexes in the village of Suhwa Balata in the southern countryside of Sweida, at an investment cost of about 400 million pounds, while the third project is also in Sahwa Balata, which is a second-class housing unit of two-star level at an investment cost of about 300 million pounds. He pointed out that these projects provide many job opportunities for graduates of hotel institutes and tourism and hotel training centers.

The Director of Tourism pointed out that seven tourism projects at a cost exceeding 10 billion are currently being studied to be granted permits for tourist acclaim and employment during the coming period, as they are distributed by two tourism projects in the Dahr al-Jabal area, which is a restaurant, a swimming pool, and three projects in the village of Rasas, south of As-Suwayda, including a park, two swimming pools, and a restaurant project. And its park in the city of Shahba, and a restaurant and swimming pool project on Al-Mujimer Al-Afina road.

It is noteworthy that the As-Suwayda Tourism Directorate granted licenses for praise, rehabilitation and tourism employment to about 11 projects during the past year, with a total cost exceeding 5 billion pounds.
