The Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection clarified that the primary purpose of the decree is to work for the sake of consumer protection and not only for the sake of the low-income citizen, and that the industrialist is also a consumer of raw materials, indicating that some directorates of the Ministry of Internal Trade are always ready to serve all merchants and industrialists who are committed to the principles of production and at the specified prices. It protects the merchant with a reasonable and reasonable profit, and at the same time protects the consumer by obtaining the food safe and healthy material as well as at an affordable price.

Minister Al-Barazi confirmed that the grave violations are related to smuggling of subsidized materials from the state and selling them in the market at high prices in addition to fraud in materials, especially food unfit for human consumption and materials of unknown source, explaining that in the first stage of the implementation of the decree, the Food Control Authority will raise awareness and explain its content with reference to That the exchange rate became reasonable and the industrialists had to price their products accordingly, noting the role of the industrialists during the war years to provide goods and materials in the markets. Minister Al-Barazi stressed that the responsibility rests with everyone, including the merchant and the industrialist, to achieve stability, pointing out that the doors of the ministry are open to hear the viewpoint of industrialists and re-pricing materials in the event of unfairness, address their concerns and provide them with support, and called on industrialists to cooperate in the matter of addressing gaps in any of the articles The law and its executive instructions.

For his part, the head of the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, Samer Al-Dibs, praised the importance of the meeting in terms of clarifying the articles of the decree regarding gross and non-gross violations and dispelling the concerns of the industrialists about some materials, stressing the importance of the decree to protect the consumer and to prevent some of the weak people from trading and cheating the food of citizens, especially with regard to the materials supported by the state .

Al-Dibs indicated that there will be interference by the Damascus Chamber of Industry with the executive mechanism, which contributes to preserving the rights of industrialists, pointing out that the industrialist is one of those affected by the high prices, as this leads to a decrease in the demand for goods, weakening the purchasing power of the citizen, and the accumulation of goods in warehouses.
