"

Three members of the Russian diplomatic mission must cease their activities in Slovakia and have seven days to leave the country,

" said Eduard Heger.

Bratislava took this decision "

after recent events in the Czech Republic and after receiving information from our intelligence services which work in close cooperation with the intelligence services of our allies,

" he added.

Defense Minister Jaroslav Nad told the press that “

the activities of these three people did not respect internationally accepted rules

”.

The Czech Republic and Russia reciprocally expelled several diplomats after Prague accused Moscow of organizing the sabotage of an ammunition depot in the Czech Republic in 2014, which left two dead.

On Tuesday, Czech Interior Minister Jan Hamacek asked his partners in the European Union and NATO to expel Russian diplomats to support Prague in its confrontation with Moscow.
