The Leisure and Cultural Services Department will hold three performances of the "Music Talent" series from May to July this year. Clarinet master Feng Yishan, cellist Hong Jiayang, and pianist Zeng Xianyi will perform each. The three young musicians look forward to moving the audience with music. Do you know them?

Feng Yishan-an important milestone in his music career

Feng Yishan (Linus) has been in love with the clarinet since he was young, and has studied music in the Department of Music of CUHK and the Royal Northern Conservatory of Music.

Fung Yat Shan also loves chamber music. In addition to forming "Time. Room Music" with his music comrades, he also participated in performances by the Promise Orchestra, Ponte Orchestra, Hong Kong Composers Association, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Hong Kong Opera House and Cantabile Chorus.

His music has traveled to art festivals in South Korea, Shanghai and Macau.

In Linus's eyes, music is an indispensable part of life. He described this concert as an important milestone in his music career. He hopes that the audience can feel the variability and appeal of the clarinet in the concert.

The selection of music is also full of thoughts. In addition to the classic clarinet sonata, there are also freehand music sketches, and Liu Yongfeng's new work "Yi Nian" will be premiered.

The second half of the concert can be said to be the highlight of the concert-Brahms' masterpiece "Clarinet Quintet" is a work Linus has inspired him to think about life and make different interpretation attempts since his school days.

Linus will partner with the pianist Huang Lichen and the string quartet-Yan Tiancheng, Rosali, Chen Weibin and Huang Jiali, hoping to bring a pure, unforgettable and even moving night to the audience.

Hong Jiayang-In music, every day is like a new challenge

"In music, every day is like a new challenge. Today and yesterday, or now and a second, my thinking is different." When Hong Jiayang was interviewed, he was only in his early twenties; before that, he represented the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and participated. Performance at the Nobel Prize award ceremony.

Hung Ka-yang studied cello under the enlightenment of his parents since he was a child, and he aspires to become an outstanding performer. As early as 13 years old, he was elected to the Secretary of Home Affairs Recognition Program to commend his outstanding performance in music. He also participated in Yo-Yo Ma. , Wang Jian and other famous cellist master classes.

Only 22 years old this year, he has won numerous awards and won the runner-up in the Davidov International Cello Competition in Latvia.

In 2019, he was awarded a full scholarship by the Asian Cultural Association to participate in the Aspen Music Festival in the United States and receive training. His future is boundless.

Zeng Xianyi-I hope the audience can get comfort from Beethoven's music

Zeng Xianyi started to learn the piano at the age of four. Fortunately, his parents gave him a lot of freedom and allowed him to recognize his own way.

He graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and the Royal Conservatory of Music, and has won awards in many international music competitions, including the Paris Piano Competition, the Manchester International Piano Concerto Competition, and the Asian Chopin International Piano Competition.

Zeng Xianyi travels to famous European and Asian performance venues and has performed with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Manchester Chamber Orchestra, London Chamber Orchestra, Hong Kong City Chamber Orchestra, and Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.

The young pianist is currently with Haus.

Hou Yu studied further and continued to pursue his piano dream.

In this concert, Zeng Xianyi specially selected Beethoven's last three piano sonatas. These three piano sonatas were written at the end of Beethoven's life, and even after he was completely deaf.

Faced with the biggest blows and challenges in his life, Beethoven wrote an immortal masterpiece. "These three piano sonatas especially highlight Beethoven's unique creative style, surpassing all piano sonatas."
