The city of Bad Tölz has bought some new benches.
Four of them have already been set up.
Bad Tölz - On the Tölzer Marktstraße with its incline, rest stops are welcome - not only for seniors and the disabled.
The city of Bad Tölz has now created some additional seating options for us in other places in the city center.
The depot has set up the four benches these days.
According to a message from town hall spokeswoman Birte Otterbach, a location near the Khannturm, a steep section of Marktstrasse, the Franciscan Church and Badstrasse were selected as locations.
Mayor Ingo Mehner is quoted as saying that the measure serves to "increase the quality of stay in our inner city".
It is not possible to set up benches everywhere.
But especially in Marktstrasse “there is an urgent need for a place to rest”.
Otterbach states that, together with the benches around the Marienbrunnen, which are now presented in the new, uniform “street furniture” design, as well as those at the Winzerer monument, a total of 16 seats are available at the prominent points on Marktstrasse alone.
According to the announcement from the town hall, the senior representative of the city council, Ulrike Bomhard (FWG), is pleased.
She initiated the issue together with her former group colleague Margot Kirste and is now “happy that we were able to make a difference”.
