Thanks to a collaboration between scientists from NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA), an impressive new map of the outer reaches of the Milky Way has been published.
The region, which can be seen in this new birth chart, is known as the "galactic halo" and it is an area that is located outside the spiral arms that form the central disk of the Milky Way, where we live, and it contains little stars.
