Since Friday, stricter corona rules have been in place again due to the federal emergency brake.

They came into effect from one day to the next.

No one expected some of them.

Retailers, nurseries and hairdressers feel completely taken by surprise.

Fürstenfeldbruck

- "There is a lot of confusion," says Nadine Klinder from Olching City Marketing.

All day long, she had received calls from business owners who wanted to know what was actually going on.

For some, the uncertainty was so great that they closed their shop when they should have opened.

“A disaster for retail,” says Klinder.

However, she admits that the number of appointments booked has fallen massively since the introduction of mandatory testing.

Cancellations at hairdressers

The hairdressers are allowed to open further. However, only with a negative test result and an FFP2 mask requirement for the hairdressers themselves. Guild Headmaster Bettina Zellhuber is happy to be able to work at all. But she also says: “The hairdressers are afraid that there will be a hail of rejections.” So far, she herself has had to cancel a few appointments. Other salons report numerous cancellations. Zellhuber believes that this will still be over. “You have to give the customer time so that the organization gets used to it.” The quick test for the hairdresser could also be used for other errands.

The master hairdresser does not want to dramatize the fact that she now has to wear an FFP2 mask all day.

Many colleagues have already done so for their own protection.

From now on, Zellhuber is planning more breaks for herself and her team, during which the mask can also be removed.

Gardener is hit hard

The new corona rules for nurseries are a particularly hard blow. "The big sale would have started this weekend for us," says Gisela Wendlinger, owner of the Baumeister nursery in Gröbenzell. The next five to six weeks will be decisive for the annual business. That now falls into the water. Click and Collect doesn't work everywhere in nurseries, says Wendlinger. You can order soil or fertilizer, choose the right flowers for the balcony, that would be difficult without the experience on site. "It hurts all the more to see how people crowd around the flowers in the supermarket." They are allowed to continue to open normally.
