The case of the burnt policemen in Viry-Châtillon.

Two court decisions rendered in a few days, two manifestations of the same laxity of the French judiciary.

In the first case, the Court of Cassation exonerated the murderer of an old woman of Jewish faith from all liability because the drugs impaired his judgment.

In the second, young thugs who burned alive and stoned the police officers benefited from astonishing clemency from the court of assizes of minors in Paris.

And the magistrates did not even bother to hide their convictions: one of the advocates general (representing the prosecution, therefore supposed defender of the community ...), explained to the hearing that these young people were, they are his own terms,

"A wealth for the country".
