The young man who was assaulted in Rosario, chased the two motorcycle jets who stole two thousand dollars from him and killed them after running over them, declared on Friday for the first time and obtained the benefit of

house arrest

that since April 11 last claimed his defense .

Diego Claudiano, 25, will continue the judicial process against him in that condition.

But in addition, the prosecutor investigating the case anticipated that there are elements that could allow

the initial figure

with which he was charged - simple homicide -

to be

tempered

, so that the expected penalty of 8 to 25 years in prison would be less.

These elements were considered so that the prosecutor Patricio Saldutti asked the judge to apply house arrest.

The case divided Rosario society and marches were organized to demand the release of Claudiano.

On April 8, the young man was approached by at least two criminals - it is being investigated whether a third party participated - who threatened him with a firearm and seized a bag containing

two thousand dollars and two thousand pesos

.

After the robbery, Claudiano chased the thieves with his father's truck and ran over Luciano Escudero and Diego Quiroga García, who died of their injuries.

The lawyer and the relatives of the assaulted youth assured that he acted following the principle of

self-defense

and under a state of violent emotion.

Three days later, and after the exhibition of a video where the moment in which he runs over the thieves is observed, the judge concluded that there was no doubt that there was an intention to kill.

The survey of 21 cameras that allowed reconstructing the route of the motorcycle and the truck, and the testimony of 12 witnesses, led to the defendant leaving prison this Friday.

Thus, Claudiano will await the trial with the expectation of a less burdensome judicial picture.
