The victims were between 4 and 8 years old. The suspect took "

a huge amount of photos and videos

" which he then posted on pedophile forums via the Tor encrypted internet network, police said in a statement. The suspect, who also occasionally babysits, had concealed his UK criminal record using a false identity and forged documents. "

He took advantage of his status as a teacher to gain access to the victims and gain the trust of the parents, and in this way he was able to generate a huge amount of material.

According to the police.

The investigation began in early 2020 when the Spanish police were contacted by their Australian counterpart who had detected images on the Tor network which appeared to have been broadcast by a person in Spain.

The Spanish police then realized that a large part of the images had been taken in a bilingual primary school in Madrid.

Investigators eventually unmasked the teacher who had changed his identity to hide the fact that he had already been sentenced to two years in UK prison for possessing images of child sexually abused.
