Beijing-SANA, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi reiterated his call on the United States not to interfere in internal affairs

Beijing-Sana

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi renewed his call on the United States not to interfere in the internal affairs of his country, noting that Washington has not yet groped the correct way to deal with Beijing.

"The presidents of the two countries have defined the general direction for developing their relations, but the US policy towards China has not yet overcome its misunderstanding towards us," Wang said during a video interview with Richard Haass, president of the American Council on Foreign Relations, calling on the United States to look at Sino-US relations from a strategic perspective, understand and see China's development in an objective and rational manner, and work with China to create a new path of peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation.

Wang called on the United States to genuinely exercise multilateralism, respect and accept the way and order chosen by China with its independent will and non-interference in its internal affairs.

Wang stressed that the future of Sino-US relations will depend on whether the United States is willing to accept China's peaceful development and whether it is willing to recognize the right of the Chinese people to seek a better life.

Wang stressed that "playing the Taiwan card" is nothing but "playing with fire," calling on the United States to respect the one-China principle and fulfill its obligations under the three Sino-US joint communiques.
