On April 20, the police officer Xavier Jugelé was shot dead and two others were wounded in the evening in Paris, on the Champs-Élysées, by a 39-year-old French convict, Karim Cheurfi, who was immediately shot dead.
The attack is claimed shortly after by IS.
2016
On June 13, a police officer and his companion, secretary at the Mantes-la-Jolie police station, were stabbed to death in Magnanville (Yvelines) by a man claiming to act on behalf of ISIS.
An agency linked to the Islamist group endorses the attack.
Originally from Mantes-la-Jolie, the assailant kills the man in front of his house then takes refuge in the couple's home where he kills the companion before being shot during an assault by the Raid.

2015
On January 7 and 8, three police officers died during the Islamist attacks committed by the brothers Chérif and Saïd Kouachi, and Amédy Coulibaly.
Two of them, Franck Brinsolaro and Ahmed Merabet, fell under the bullets of the Kouachi brothers who claimed to be Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (Aqpa), during the attack on the weekly

On March 11, in Toulouse, Mohamed Merah killed in the name of jihad a parachutist, Imad Ibn Ziaten, with a bullet in the head. On the 15th, he killed two other paratroopers, Mohamed Legouad and Abel Chennouf, in the middle of the street, in front of their barracks in Montauban. Four days later, he attacked a Jewish school, killing three children and a teacher. He was killed on March 22 by the Raid police.
