This is the decade in which we must make choices that can avoid the worst effects of a climate crisis.

We have to try to limit the warming of the planet to 1.5 degrees Celsius. "

But it has to be said that both of them really managed to bring the most important and large greenhouse gas emitters of this earth together, to bring them to one table and also to wrest concessions from them. And that's quite an achievement. "

“And these are very important concessions on the way to the UN climate summit in Glasgow at the end of November. And until then we have a number of other summits: G7 summit, G20 summit and also the Petersberg Dialogue in Berlin. And we will see whether this positive movement within the countries, i.e. within the countries and the climate negotiations, now solidifies. And we will see whether the countries then really implement these climate goals, pour them into laws and ordinances and take the necessary money in hand to make this transition. "
