The vaccination campaign is shifting into high gear in the Val-d'Oise, with 4,000 additional doses granted to the department for

Sixty-year-olds who seek in vain to be immunized against Covid-19, may be able to get an appointment this weekend.

A few days before the third deconfinement, the vaccination campaign is accelerating.

The regional health agency (ARS) has just allocated additional doses for this weekend in Ile-de-France.

In Val-d'Oise, more than 4,000 doses of messenger RNA vaccines are distributed between the Sarcelles center and the Jouy-le-Moutier departmental center, located in the Merisiers sports park.

The latter opens this Saturday morning after a conclusive day of testing, last Wednesday, during which 1,538 people were able to receive an injection.

"It made it possible to confirm the correct configuration of the vaccination course as well as the proper functioning of the technical installations", explains the departmental fire and rescue center (Sdis) of Val-d'Oise, responsible for ensuring its operation with reinforcement of volunteers from the Red Cross and civil protection.

“A thousand appointments are available Saturday and Sunday” for people over 60 and health professionals.

The Sarcelles vaccination center, too, still has several hundred free slots out of the 2,000 open.

Soon slots in Montmagny and Herblay

The rise of these centers will be accompanied by the creation of an ambulatory vaccination center in Montmagny from next Wednesday and an ephemeral center in Herblay on May 2 at the Naquettes gymnasium, where 150 people over 70 years old will be able to have their first dose of Pfizer injected. The other centers should see their reception capacities increase, such as that of Argenteuil, where 800 people were vaccinated this week, and where the double could be next week.

Yesterday, those who had just been vaccinated in Argenteuil came out with a certain relief and the hope of a semblance of life before. “The more we get vaccinated, the more quickly it will all be over. We do not really know what is in the vaccines but we trust, especially since we had the Pfizer here which has a good reputation, explain Nadine and Gérard, retirees. For us, it was very easy to have an appointment: once the doctor gave us the green light, the city came to us and we were able to make an appointment. It's much easier here than in other places, we have friends on the side of Albi (Tarn) who cannot get an appointment and who are not called back to be vaccinated. "

Mohammed, 74, took this step “to be able to see his grandchildren again.

For eight months, I couldn't spend time with them, and it was only after my first injection that I saw them.

»To date, 191,119 people have already been vaccinated in the Val-d'Oise
