More than twenty people of Chinese nationality were arrested in an operation in a
clandestine casino
in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Belgrano, in which some five million pesos, dollars, cocaine and a weapon were kidnapped.
A raid carried out by the City Police together with personnel from the City Lottery and the Judicial Investigations Body of the Public Prosecutor's Office was carried out this Thursday night in a three-story large house located in Sucre at 900 where, according to the inquiries by police personnel, operated an
unauthorized gambling and betting house
between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., violating the restrictions imposed by the Decree of Necessity and Urgency (DNU) 241/2021, which imposes the prohibition of social gatherings by the covid-19 pandemic.
In the place they arrested
20 men and three women, between 22 and 46 years old
, all of Chinese nationality, among whom was the resident tenant and organizer of the clandestine game.

The investigation began on April 16, when neighbors began to notice that, after a family of oriental origin moved into the house, large numbers of
people came and went during the night
and early morning.
The Criminal, Misconduct and Misdemeanor Prosecutor's Office 4, headed by Mauro Tereszko, María Paula Raffa Pirra's secretary, ordered a series of tasks to determine if any
irregular situation
was occurring in the home.
The investigations included checking the garbage in the house, in which the officers found a large number of
cards and tickets
similar to those of the supermarket, but without company name.
The entry and exit of people during the night was also verified.
Before conducting the search, investigators verified that people entered the property at night.

The gamblers were detained for identification and verification of recidivism.

illegal gambling and breach of DNU 241/2021

Meanwhile, the tenant and promoter of the place added to these accusations the possession of firearms.
