Red color warnings were activated this evening (Saturday) in the Sderot area and other localities in the Gaza Strip, including Kibbutz Gevim, Nir Am, Ivim and Mefalsim.

The warnings were sounded after hours in which relative calm was maintained in the area.

No casualties or damage have been reported in the area so far.

During the last night, 36 rockets were fired at the Eshkol, Negev and Ashkelon Beach regional councils, of which six were intercepted.

No damage or injuries were reported.

In response, aircraft attacked Hamas' underground infrastructure and firing launchers.

Subsequently, the IDF instructed the residents of the Gaza Strip to stay near protected areas, to stop agricultural work in the areas adjacent to the perimeter fence, to cease all educational activities and close Zikim Beach - and after less than an hour lifted the restrictions.
