Consumer protection agents in Damascus countryside closed a fuel station for a month and organized controls related to possession of expired materials, trading in food flour, and selling at an extra price.
Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Rural Damascus, Amran Slakho, explained to SANA's delegate that the directorate’s agents had seized a car loaded with a thousand bundles of badly manufactured fresh bread and 500 kilograms of dry bread in the city of al-Tal.
Slakho pointed out that a ton of food flour was seized in the Douma area with the intention of trading it and 320 kilograms of food flour in Jadidat Artouz with the intention of selling it to one of the pastry shops.
The directorate’s personnel, according to Slakho, also organized an arrest warrant against the owner of a fuel station in the Zakia region for violating the reserves of 1,500 liters of petrol and transferring it to the judiciary. A fuel station was also closed in Hejana for violating the kilo filling for a month and a center for the sale of diesel in Adra al-Balad for violating the sale at the extra price for a week and a storage tank for selling The diesel in the Al-Sabinah area for stopping the sale without justification for a period of 15 days, confirming that the seizure is regulated against them and referring them to the judiciary.
In Aqraba, two factories were seized, one for the manufacture of biscuits and caramel and the other for the manufacture of consoles for their possession of expired materials, which were reserved for destruction after the court's decision was issued, according to Slakho.
