The Department of Health responded to media enquiries. The deceased man was found to have high blood pressure and diabetes. After he was found unconscious at home, he was sent to the Accident and Emergency Department of Tseung Kwan O Hospital.
The deceased had received the second dose of Kexing vaccine before the 15th. The Department of Health stated that there is no clinical evidence to show that the incident was caused by the vaccine. According to the established mechanism, the case will be referred to an expert committee for causality assessment.
There are a total of 24 deaths after vaccination, of which 19 have been vaccinated with Kexing vaccine, and 4 have been vaccinated with BioNTech. All initially indicated that they have nothing to do with the vaccine. Some have been assessed by the expert committee to be unrelated. Others The case is yet to be finalized.
