The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasool, confirmed that Iraq does not need any American or foreign soldiers on its soil because it has trained forces and can defend its lands.
Alsumaria News quoted Rasul as saying in today's statements: “There is a schedule for the withdrawal of foreign forces during periods to be determined after the meeting of the technical committee that was formed by the command of the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces headed by the Chief of Staff of the Army to manage this file within the strategic dialogue,” adding: “Iraq does not. He needs any American or foreign soldier who carries arms and fights with the Iraqi forces and does not need fighters on the ground except for the Iraqi forces.
Last year, the Iraqi Council of Representatives voted by an absolute majority on a resolution obliging the Iraqi government to end the foreign presence in the country after the US crimes on Iraqi soil.
