Thibaut Pinot will not be at the start of the 2021 edition of the Giro.
The French team explains that his back pain prevents him from being 100% for the competition.
As the Tour of Italy starts in two weeks, the Frenchman will continue his period of care.
“I can't hide: I'm not in a condition to shine on the Giro.
I would suffer needlessly and I would not be able to help the team.
It's not even a question of form, but back pain prevents me from performing ”explained Thibaut Pinot.
