A spokesperson for the Department of Health responded today (24th) that the current contractor for outsourced testing services is BGI. Starting from April 26, another testing company, Prenetics, will join as the designated company together with BGI. Quarantine hotels accept compulsory quarantine personnel to provide testing services. In order to ensure the quality of sampling, the government has included specific provisions in the outsourcing contract, requiring the service of the contractor to meet the quality required by the authority.

The Department of Health also stated that a number of outsourced contractors will be arranged to receive compulsory quarantine at designated quarantine hotels to receive combined swab samples from the nose and throat at the hotel on the 12th day of the quarantine period.
