The Iranian army chief of staff has issued a new series of threats against Israel, but has refused to commit to the nature of his country's response • "Our actions will force the Zionists to recover," he said.
The Iranian army chief of staff, Muhammad Bagari, today (Sunday) threatened Israel in response, warning that "it is not clear what our response will be, but the Zionist regime cannot afford to rest in peace."
Bagari made the remarks at a memorial service for the deputy commander of the Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guards and threatened Israel: "The actions we are taking in recent days, and will be carried out in the near future, will bring the scores to an understanding of reality. The future of resistance is bright."
"The Zionists think they can attack Syrian soil and carry out all sorts of dangerous antics at sea, and there will be no response to that," Bagari said, adding: "The resistance front will give a crushing response to the Zionists."
In response to questions from reporters, Bagari said: "I will not be able to tell you now what our response will look like and when it will arrive, but I can tell you that the Zionists cannot afford to rest in peace."
Meanwhile, Iranian Defense Minister Amir Khatami sent his own threat to Israel, saying: "The Zionist regime and the enemies of the Islamic Revolution need to know that the fighters of the Revolutionary Guards will obey the leadership orders and continue on the path of the martyrs, and will not give up until the final victory.
