At about 6 o'clock in the evening tonight (25th), the police received a report stating that there were people gathering for gambling outside the shopping mall of Shanjing Village, Tuen Mun. Stormtroopers were called to the scene. A plainclothes police officer and a uniformed officer got off the vehicle to investigate. The 66-year-old woman named Ding, who was drunk, was agitated and suddenly smashed the glass bottle in her hand and waved the glass shards.

As she was standing close to the plainclothes police officer, her colleagues sent out a verbal warning to no avail, immediately pulled out their guns and subdued the woman. She was subsequently arrested for possession of offensive weapons.

No one was injured in the incident, and the rest of the people who were gambling fled without a trace.

It is understood that the arrested woman has a long history of crimes involving gambling and drugs.

The case was handed over to the Criminal Investigation Team of Tuen Mun Police District for follow-up.

According to online pictures, a male uniformed police officer pointed his gun forward at the Light Rail Mingqin Station outside the shopping mall in Shanjing Village. Other citizens were present nearby.
