A meeting chaired by Prime Minister Hussein Arnous discussed the reality of the process of distributing subsidized materials and oil derivatives via the electronic card, completing the distribution of bread material via the card in all governorates and taking all necessary measures to remove the obstacles that prevent this according to a specific timetable.
Eng. Arnous emphasized that the government pays full attention and care to the electronic services project and is keen to popularize the application of electronic card services to all governorates, especially with regard to the distribution of bread, indicating the need to conduct a comprehensive review of the procedures that have been taken to automate the distribution of subsidized materials provided to citizens via the electronic card in a way that contributes to Achieving fairness and efficiency in distribution, promoting waste reduction and combating corruption.
The meeting stressed the importance of making use of the data provided by the electronic card and analyzing it accurately to direct support to those who are eligible, in coordination and cooperation between all concerned parties, and the need to establish an integrated electronic database by linking the governorates' databases and making use of them in this field.
The ministries and public authorities concerned were assigned to conduct an accurate description of the experience of using the electronic card in terms of its contribution to achieving savings, controlling the movement of subsidized materials and distributing them in an orderly manner, identifying negatives and proposals to address them to develop the experience in order to achieve the desired goal in the short, medium and long terms and within the framework of the government's policy towards expanding the application electronic services.
The meeting reviewed the experience of distributing gasoline through the electronic card that was recently implemented, the percentage of cards benefiting from letters and cards that were suspended due to the misuse of the travel feature, the violating stations, and proposals to distribute the material in proportion to the available quantities, while studying the possibility of increasing the quantities distributed in each filling.
The difficulties and obstacles facing some of the concerned authorities were reviewed, and they were directed to follow-up to ensure the greatest possible geographical spread of the electronic services network during the coming period.
