The Committee for the Joint Passenger Transport in Homs Governorate approved a new mechanism to regulate the operation of transport lines within and outside the city of Homs.

Muhannad Khadour, a member of the executive office of the transport sector in the governorate, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent that with the availability of the quantities of fuel allocated to the transport sector in the governorate, and with the aim of organizing the work of transport lines and ensuring their existence around the clock, especially with the coming of the summer season, a plan was developed to organize the work of transport lines within the city and to the countryside.

And he indicated that with regard to the rural transport lines, the committee decided to return all the mechanisms to the northern and southern starting stations according to a timetable that includes departure from the station from six in the morning until nine in the morning at the rate of a car every quarter of an hour, whether it is completely full or not full, in order to achieve smooth transportation and not Bottlenecks occur in some rural areas.

Khadour pointed out that after nine in the morning, the station will depart at the rate of a car every half hour, with the aim of extending the time period for working on the line until the evening period.

He confirmed that the heads of the administrative units and the lines authority in the two stations were asked to organize and monitor this process, noting that the vehicles will be provided with fuel on the day after the start and return process, according to the trips made by the mechanism, and for city lines, the vehicles will be provided with fuel at a rate of 40 liters every two days at the gas stations.
