The Covid-19 pandemic and its consequences on sport in the United States are no longer a bad memory, for the organizers of the UFC in any case.
On Saturday, 15,000 spectators (without masks) gathered in the Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, to attend UFC 261, a meeting of the prestigious mixed martial arts league that marked the great return of the public with a gauge full for this type of event.
And ticket holders were not disappointed by the spectacle with the stunning performance of Kamaru Usman, author of a spectacular knockout on one of the big stars of the discipline, Jorge Masvidal.
The latter will long remember this revenge which turned once again in favor of his Nigerian opponent after being struck down in the second round by a terrible right.
Devastated by this devastating blow, Masvidal fell to the ground, stunned, before taking a shower of blows that pushed the referee to put an end to the fight.
Kamaru Usman signs, him, an 18th victory in a row, the best current series of the UFC.

But the image of the evening will remain the terrifying injury of Chris Weidman during his fight against Uriah Hall.
The 36-year-old American broke his tibia when he struck the leg of his friend.
