Fake phone number instructs the public to go to the Quarantine and Quarantine Bureau: Will not contact by answering phone

A spokesperson for the Hospital Authority today (25th) urged the public to be careful of forging calls made by the Hospital Authority and instructed the public to go for quarantine through recording.

The Hospital Authority reiterated that it will not contact the public for isolation through recorded calls.

A spokesperson for the Authority clarified today that the public will not be contacted for quarantine through the answering phone, nor will it be requested to provide any sensitive personal information during the answering phone.

The HA has reported the incident to the police.

The spokesman again reminded the public that if they receive a suspected false call, they must not follow any instructions on the call and report to the police.
