Therefore, after the Bundestag, the Bundesrat also approved a federal emergency brake.
From the weekend, people in Germany will have to be prepared for the new Corona * restrictions.
The corresponding Infection Protection Act comes into force this Friday, in districts and cities with a seven-day incidence * of over 100 in the past three days, the federal emergency brake should automatically apply from Saturday (April 24), as the Federal Ministry of the Interior in Berlin explained.
Corona in Bavaria: Söder pleads for "caution and prudence" - an overview of the rules
Even before the federal emergency brake, there were strict corona rules in Bavaria.
Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU *) repeatedly spoke of a course of “caution and prudence.” How exactly the effects of the federal emergency brake on the regulations in Bavaria were initially unclear.
Because Bavaria already has the same or even stricter rules in many areas, the effects in the Free State are limited - an overview of the rules that will apply from Saturday.
Corona rules in Bavaria: This applies from Saturday to hairdressers, podiatrists and retailers
Hairdressers:
You are allowed to open further.
However, from an incidence of 100 customers must present a negative corona test * (maximum 24 hours old).
According to the hairdressing guild, customers must always wear an FFP2 mask *, hairdressers up to an incidence of 100 must wear at least one medical mask, and from 100 also an FFP2 mask.
Pedicurist
: You can also stay open.
From an incidence of 100, a negative test is also required here.

Retail
: As before,
retailers are
allowed to open at incidences below 50, between 50 and 100 shopping can be done with an appointment.
The option to shop with a negative test and appointment remains.
However, the option is only available for incidences between 100 and 150 - previously it was valid between 100 and 200. From 150, it is only possible to collect ordered goods.
In addition, fewer customers are allowed into the shops.
Corona rules in retail: shopping with an appointment and test "poor business"
In practice, however, not much will change for the retail sector, as the managing director of the trade association, Bernd Ohlmann, said.
Many counties already have incidences of over 200 and the concept of shopping with an appointment and test is anyway a "miserable affair" that many retailers voluntarily do without.
Flower shops, bookstores, garden centers and nurseries, which were temporarily allowed to open in Bavaria regardless of the incidence, remain closed in the Free State, although the federal emergency brake provides for exceptions for them.
However, the trade association is hoping for an easing in the coming week.

Further rules in schools and for services apply as follows.
Services:
When it comes to hand, fingernail and facial care, a distinction must be made: According to the Bavarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, such services will no longer be permitted from an incidence of 100 or more. The Ministry of Health emphasizes that medical, therapeutic and nursing services are permitted regardless of incidence. Services by licensed doctors, alternative practitioners or those who have been prescribed by a doctor are therefore still allowed.
Schools:
Nothing changes here. Regardless of the nationwide mandatory limit value for distance teaching, the students in the Free State continue to switch to their home desks earlier. In Bavaria there are already distance lessons from an incidence of 100 instead of 165 - there are exceptions primarily for the fourth and eleventh grades as well as the final classes.
In the case of incidences below 100, face-to-face lessons with a minimum interval are permitted - this usually means alternating lessons. Under 50, it would be allowed in elementary schools to forego the distance, but this condition is currently not met anywhere in Bavaria. Furthermore, students are only allowed to go to school with a negative test.
Childcare:
According to the Ministry of Health, reciprocal free childcare in fixed childcare communities regardless of the number of households involved is no longer possible.
Federal emergency brake is coming: curfew - these corona rules now apply in Bavaria
The federal emergency brake also provides for a night curfew - Bavaria is stricter.
You are not allowed to leave the house or garden between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Exceptions are professional reasons, emergencies, caring for children or those in need, terminal care or caring for animals.
Even moving in the fresh air alone is no longer allowed after 10 p.m.
The federal emergency brake would allow this until midnight.
