The National Committee to Combat Coronavirus in Iran announced today the start of the human test for the third phase of the Corona Vaccine, "Coo Iran Patient", at the Erm Hotel in the capital, Tehran.
The Iranian news agency IRNA quoted Committee member Minu Mahrez as saying: “The third phase of the“ human ”clinical tests for the vaccine will be conducted on 20 thousand volunteers in 6 Iranian provinces, namely Tehran, Bushehr, Shiraz, Karaj, Mashhad and Isfahan, pointing to the beginning of the registration of volunteers for the third stage in the year April 21.
In a statement to reporters, Mehrez explained that the local "Coo Iran Barkt" vaccine fulfills the prevention of the British strain of the mutated Corona virus, noting that information was not yet available regarding the protection of this vaccine from the Indian strain of this virus.
Mehrez pointed out that between 70 and 90 percent of cases of coronavirus infection in Iran are due to the British strain, and that the "Coo Iran Bark" vaccine meets protection from this epidemic.
