The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Lattakia has seized a factory for manufacturing natural laurel soap that misleads the Consumer Protection Agency with a breach of identification card and the use of aromatic chemicals in manufacturing with the seizure of subsidized materials inside it, such as household gas and gasoline.
The Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Samer Al-Sousi, told the SANA reporter that the factory produces natural laurel soap, in order for it to be evident that it is cheating in its manufacture by using aromatic chemicals and chemical preparations and practicing the profession without obtaining the necessary licenses and misleading the Consumer Protection Agency with the statement card and practicing the profession with an industrial and commercial register issued by the Aleppo Governorate.
He pointed out that during the examination of the plant's assets, a number of domestic gas cylinders and 180 liters of gasoline were seized, which are subsidized materials by the state. The materials within the facility were also seized and included aromatic chemicals, factory soap, cotton, olive oil in metal tanks, laurel oil, in addition to the existing machines and cardboard packages. .
Al-Sousi explained that samples of all types were also taken to be analyzed and to know their validity and specifications, the laboratory was waxed with red wax, and the violator was referred to the appropriate court in the first place.
