In an accident in the “gallery” on Lake Walchensee, a motorcyclist from Augsburg was lucky on Sunday afternoon.
Kochel am See
- A motorcycle and a car collided in the excursion traffic on the Walchensee on Sunday afternoon.
The B 11 was then completely closed.
Luck in misfortune: Apparently nobody was seriously injured in the accident.
Only the motorcyclist had to be taken to the hospital for outpatient treatment.
According to the police, the 32-year-old from Augsburg was traveling on his plane from Walchensee in the direction of Urfeld / Kesselberg.
In the “gallery”, due to the damp road surface, he started sliding around 2:45 p.m. and slid over the center markings on the roadway.
He collided with the oncoming car of a 30-year-old from Nuremberg.
The latter survived the collision just as unharmed as his co-driver.
After the accident at Walchensee: motorcycle and car are towed away
The police initially assessed the motorcycle as a total loss.
The damage to the car is likely to be around 5000 euros.
Both vehicles were towed away.
The closure of the B 11 resulted in waiting times for many road users, but according to the police, the traffic jam was not as enormous in the end as was to be feared.
After about half an hour, the traffic was guided past the scene of the accident in one lane.
Overall, there was a lot of excursion traffic in the Walchensee-Kesselberg region on Sunday.
The B 11 on Kesselberg was heavily parked on both sides.
The situation was similar at many excursion destinations in the region.
