A murder case occurred in a nursing home in Tuen Mun the day before (23rd). The 85-year-old man was found unconscious by staff with blood on his face, bruises in his eyes and bleeding. He was sent to hospital for rescue and was certified dead. The police checked the closed-circuit television and found another A 70-year-old male hospital mate entered the room of the deceased twice, and once held a sharp weapon that looked like scissors, and arrested him.
Police today (25th) temporarily charged a 70-year-old man with one count of murder. The case will appear in Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (26th) morning.

The incident occurred at about 9 pm the day before yesterday. The police received a report from a staff member of an elderly home at No. 11 Tsing Chui Path, Tuen Mun, stating that an 85-year-old hospital mate surnamed Tan Nan was in a coma on a bed in a single room and had blood stains on his face. Eyes have scars, bruises and bleeding.
The injured was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital by ambulances, but his death was postponed to 5:06 am yesterday.
The police later checked the CCTV footage of the nursing home and found that 15 minutes before the staff entered the deceased’s room, another male hospital mate entered and exited the deceased’s room twice.
When he left the room for the second time, he held a pair of scissors in his right hand.
The police arrested a 70-year-old male hospitalitymate surnamed Miao on the spot.
The police officers also seized a pair of blood-stained scissors in the meter room of the hospital, believed to be the murder weapon involved in the crime, and used it to stab the deceased.
