The homicide case of an 80-year-old couple's double body occurred in North Point yesterday.
The 83-year-old man and his two-year-old wife know each other and love each other. They have been married for more than 60 years. His wife suffered from Parkinson's disease 10 years ago.
Until the end of last year, the old man also fell ill. He suspected that his feet hurt and his actions were not as good as before. His health was getting worse and he was worried about his inability to take care of his sick wife. He once confided his distress to his son.
The son was worried that his father would be under pressure. In April, he took leave for a month and moved back to his hometown to take care of his parents. Unexpectedly, after returning home last night, he was surprised to see his father hang himself and his mother foamed at the mouth of the bed.
After the two elders were sent to the hospital, they passed away within 5 minutes.
After investigation by the police, it was discovered that the two elders had left a suicide note, revealing their thoughts of seeking death and taking care of their affairs.
As the deceased woman had bruises on her neck and was suspected of being assaulted, the police are investigating whether someone killed her wife and then hanged herself. The case was reclassified as "murder" and "suicide".

The deceased man was 83 years old and his wife was 85 years old Tan. They have been married for more than 60 years and have one daughter and two sons.
They are the heads of the units in the Weiwen Building from 11 to 17 Fort Street, and their three children have moved out in the early years.
It is understood that the deceased woman suffered from Parkinson's disease 10 years ago and has limited mobility.
The two have a deep affection, and the male deceased has always cared for his wife and is responsible for his daily life.
Since the end of last year, the male deceased was also unfortunately ill and began to have mobility problems. Recently, he revealed to his 54-year-old son that he was struggling to take care of his wife and was worried that he could not continue to take care of him.
Since the couple’s family situation is normal, they have never sought help from others. However, seeing their parents’ health worsening, their son took a one-month leave from the company in early April and moved back to the address to take care of his parents. It is expected that the tragedy will be revealed yesterday.

The Chief Inspector of the Eastern District Police (Criminal) Jiang Shiyun explained the facts of the case. At 7:13 last night (24th), the police received a report from the Rongs’ 54-year-old son, saying that he had been away from home for a short period of time. The father hung himself on the curtain rope in the living room, and he immediately untied his father.
Later, he found his mother lying on the bed, foaming at the mouth, unconscious.
An ambulance arrived at the scene and sent the two elderly people to hospital for rescue. Unfortunately, the two were certified dead at 7:46 pm and 7:51 pm respectively.
During the police investigation, it was found that the deceased woman had bruises on her neck and is investigating how the injuries were caused.
No traces of fighting, struggle, or blood were found at the scene.
In addition, the police found a suicide note left by the male and female deceased, which revealed that they had thoughts of seeking death and accounted for the consequences.
As for the police seized a sharp knife at the scene, preliminary investigations believed that it had nothing to do with the case. It was the deceased's son who found his father hanged and went to the kitchen to take the knife and cut the rope to save his father.
The police are investigating the direction of murder and suicide, and the cause of their deaths is pending forensic examination.
