Corona's commissioner, Prof. Nachman Ash, updated today (Sunday) on "an unusual incident of infection in Pardes Hanna Karkur, during which up to 46 people, including 38 children, were infected in one chain. The chain started with two unvaccinated parents who were verified. Their three children are studying. In schools. One of the children did not maintain isolation before being verified and met many children in the Scouts and at school.
"Adherence is still possible. Adherence to the isolation rules in contact with a verified person is critical. This is again a call to get vaccinated. It protects us all and allows us to continue the various activities without the need for extensive isolation."
A., the father of a 10-year-old boy who was sent to solitary confinement after a scout activity, is furious with the vaccine-refusing parents: "It is a first-class irresponsibility. Whoever does not want to be vaccinated - will not be vaccinated, but will not endanger other people.
In the locality there are 42 verified and about 400 isolated.
Several hotspots have been discovered in the council's educational institutions, the main ones being - trails and the agricultural school, with an emphasis on the 10th grade.
A sampling van arrived last week at Shavilim and today at the agricultural school.
The council decided to open a drive-in complex for corona tests at the Nahal monument. It will operate throughout the week and possibly next week as well. Residents can arrive without the need for a referral.
