Briton Elfyn Evans (Toyota) took the lead in Rally Croatia before the last two stages on Sunday, ahead of Frenchman Sébastien Ogier (Toyota), who was involved in a road accident before joining the start.
“Seb and Julien (Ingrassia, his co-driver, Editor's note) were involved in a traffic incident on the section between the service park (in Zagreb, Editor's note) and the first stage this morning (Sunday).
Fortunately, no one was injured and their Yaris WRC is OK to continue, ”the Toyota team said on Twitter.
On the images, we see the Toyota of Gapençais in an urban area starting to pull over to the right of the road when a vehicle arriving at high speed tries to overtake it on the right by taking the bus lane.
The two vehicles could not avoid contact and the damage to the right flank of the Yaris WRC is clearly visible (see photo below).

Ogier, seven-time world champion, led the debates on Saturday evening.
He is now second in this third round of the season, 2.8 seconds behind his teammate at Toyota Evans, without anyone knowing whether the damage had an impact on his driving and his times.
The Belgian Thierry Neuville, former leader on Friday, is 3rd just 8.4 seconds behind the Briton.
"It's a complicated morning, but it's not over," said Ogier after the first two times of the day (SS17 and SS18).
The right side wall and the door on the co-pilot's side of the Toyota were damaged.
Two stages remain to be covered over a total of 300.32 km in the mountain ranges for this first Rally Croatia in the history of the WRC.
