Everyone in Wolfratshaus knows the distinctive house: The Tapsi building is to be even bigger.

However, there were small doubts with the owner's building application.

Wolfratshausen - The striking residential and commercial building at the so-called Tapsi intersection - the building once housed a shop of the same name - is to be extended.

In its most recent meeting, the building committee approved an application for a preliminary decision.

The plan is therefore to “raise” the top floor in order to create four more apartments.

From the ground to the ridge of the roof, the structure at the Königsdorfer / Schießstättstrasse intersection would then protrude over 13 meters.

There is already a building in the vicinity that is even higher - and could possibly serve as a reference: the building measures 15.75 meters at the back of the Tapsi building.

We want the compression in height, not in area. "

Fritz Schnaller, SPD

Günther Eibl (CSU) did not accept this as an argument: “The reference building is within the scope of a development plan”, so it could not serve as a comparison value.

Eibl expressed concern that the district office, as the approval authority, could lift the city's vote.

Also read: The future of a local supplier was at stake in the construction committee.

In Wolfratshausen some citizens breathe easy.

SPD city councilor Fritz Schnaller countered this: “We want the compression in height, not in area.” The several thousand drivers who drive past the building every day “will not even notice the one meter more”.

The cityscape is "not affected" by the increase.

Parking lot situation must be "kept in mind"

Most of the committee saw it that way.

Against the votes of the CSU representatives, the application for a preliminary decision was approved with 8: 2.

The parking space situation on the property must be "kept in mind" in the further planning, as town hall chief Klaus Heilinglechner (citizens' association) explained.
