The farmers of Damascus countryside, like other segments of society, are waiting for the 26th of next May to participate in the presidential elections, stressing that as they continued with agricultural production and preserved it in the face of the challenges they were exposed to as a result of terrorist attacks, they will continue to exercise their constitutional right to vote and make their voice heard to the whole world.

“Participating in the elections is no less important than our continued agriculture in making the future of Syria.” The main pillar in the statements of a number of farmers to SANA, where they emphasized that supporting the agricultural sector and meeting their needs in a way that contributes to the continuation of work and production and replanting what terrorism has ravaged their lands and crops is the catalyst for their participation This is a constitutional right.

During her presence in one of the lands of the agricultural town of Zakia, the farmer, Sarah Al-Wagha, affirmed her determination to participate in the upcoming presidential elections and added .. “We will participate until we return Namar Halbalad, we will plant it, and we will plant it.” The farmer, Maher Al-Sheikh, confirmed her participation as a right and a duty, saying .. We will contribute to the success of the elections, just as we will contribute to agriculture. ”

Chairman of the Zakia Association Ibrahim Mahmoud Shaban expressed his hope that all farmers will participate in the vote, because the success of this constitutional right reflects positively on the reality of farmers and the agricultural sector on the principle of "When the farmer is well, the country is fine."

His spontaneity resembled the farmer Muhammad from the village of Taybeh in the Damascus countryside, Syria, with the land that bears fruit when it has a leader who takes care of it and organizes its production. Therefore, it is necessary to participate in the elections to choose the most suitable for a Syrian leadership.

Omar Al-Waghi, head of the Agricultural Society in the Al-Abassah Hosh, called on farmers to participate by all voting in the elections, noting that supporting the pillar “We eat from what we grow and wear from what we make for the advancement of the country” is its basis for choosing its candidate.

The farmer, Ismail Abdullah Wanous, who comes from Eastern Ghouta to work in the agricultural lands in the Zakia region, has indicated that he will participate in the elections because it is an opportunity to express his opinion and his right to choose whoever represents him.

The farmer Umm Ahmad considered that participating in the elections is a promising step that reflects on the future of her children and the protection of farmers' rights, while the farmer Umm Abdullah explained that holding the elections on time is evidence of Syria's steadfastness and its victory over internal and external terrorism, expressing her hope for a better return from Syria.
