Bezeq reported this morning on the appointment of former politician Tzipi Livni as a director of the company.

Livni's term of office will begin on April 26.

The report states that Livni holds Bezeq's Series 6 debentures in the amount of 4,813.6 securities.

Her salary will be the standard director's salary.

The new appointment joins her recent appointment as an external strategic consultant at the Kentuck cannabis company.

Livni served in the Israeli governments as deputy prime minister, foreign minister, justice minister and absorption minister.

Since 1999, she has been a member of the Knesset and a minister on behalf of the Likud party.

In 2005, with the establishment of the Kadima party, she joined it.

Ahead of the elections to the 20th Knesset, Livni, who was then the leader of the "Movement" party, joined the Labor Party and together they established the "Zionist Camp" list.

The Labor Party withdrew from the list in early 2019, in a statement remembered as particularly dramatic when then-Labor chairman Avi Gabay announced the "separation" live during a faction meeting, without the latter knowing about it in advance. About a month later, Livni announced her retirement from politics.

Until 2013, Labor Chairman Avi Gabay served as Bezeq's CEO, then retired to political life and currently serves as Cellcom's CEO.
