Week back to school: The testing program in the schools does not work
The ministry was disappointed to find that the "Education Shield" program, designed to locate Corona outbreaks, was failing to gain momentum, and only 1.5% of schools complied with the requirement to conduct weekly tests.

The Ministry of Health relied on the "Shield of Education" program in their recommendation to open the schools, but only 1.5% of the institutions perform the sample tests - this morning (Sunday) according to information received by Walla !.
In the first week of all students returning to routine, which was also the first week of sampling, 80 schools out of 5,219 operated according to the program.
The main reason for the gap lies in the requirement for parental consent.
The tests are performed in classrooms where 75% approval is obtained, and a child whose parents did not agree will not be tested.
According to the Ministry of Education, these are a few hundred educational institutions in which there are classes eligible to join the program, so that in fact even out of those 80 institutions, there are classes that are not sampled.
