The Ickinger still want to do something about the littering of their community area.

Icking - Because of the pandemic, the county-wide Ramadama campaign had to be canceled.

Since the rubbish lying around in the woods and fields does not clear itself away, some organizations and municipalities have now become active on their own.

The Ickinger also want to do something about the littering of their community area.

Under the motto “Sauba Icking!”, Some citizens are already doing it and collecting cigarette butts, plastic, bottles, crown caps and the like at every opportunity.

"We all, whether young or older, can make a contribution to ensuring that Icking is and remains garbage-free with every walk, every dog walk, every outdoor sport", write Mayor Verena Reithmann and her deputy Claudia Roederstein in a press release .

All you need are three things: remember to have gloves and a bag before you go out.

The effort will not only be worthwhile for nature, according to the two mayors, because “we will raffle winners of attractive gifts from all submissions”. So: "Collect rubbish in front of the front door, on your way, on the streets and in the forest, take a photo of you with the garbage bag and send it to the community with the following information: name, contact details, collection location / special garbage hotspots in the community and possibly a declaration of consent that the photo and name may be published on the municipality's website. ”The deadline for submissions is the end of June. The contact details of the two mayors: Verena Reithmann, email verena.reithann@icking.de, WhatsApp 01 73/7 14 15 39; Claudia Roederstein, email croed@gmx.de, WhatsApp 0 15 20/2 40 66 58.

The hard-working collectors can dispose of the waste in the household waste or in the community's garbage baskets.

In the case of larger quantities, the community asks the collectors to inform Stephan Burlein by email (stephan.burlein@icking.de).
