Corona pandemic in India: Angela Merkel offers help

More than 350,000 new infections within 24 hours

According to SPIEGEL information, India had previously asked the Bundeswehr for help.

According to its own statements, the Federal Ministry of Defense is examining the possibilities of handing over a mobile oxygen production plant to India as well as possibilities for transport support for other relief goods.

The corona situation in India is getting worse.

On Monday, the country reports 352,991 new corona infections for the fifth day in a row, a global high.

The number of deaths within 24 hours has also reached a new high.

2812 people last died in one day in connection with Corona.

The unreported numbers are likely to be significantly higher in the country.

With more than 17 million confirmed infections, India has the second most infections worldwide after the USA.

Germany declared the South Asian country a virus variant area from this Monday.
