When Liang missed a golden Rolex watch in August last year, he found that many jewellery watches in his home were missing, including a Piaget watch, a Roger Dubuis watch, 3 Patek Tsuily watches, 1 pair of Hermès earrings, 1 Roger Dubuis necklace and 8 gold bars.

The police found a total of 6 receipts issued by 3 pawnshops from the defendant’s clothing, involving about 150,000 yuan, and seized the Rolex watch.

The defendant was arrested and admitted that because of greed, she used Liang's key to open the drawer to obtain jewelry. She claimed that the money obtained from pawning had been sent home to the Philippines.

Judge Du Dawei took 3 years as the starting point for sentencing. Taking into account the defendant's plea, a third of the sentence was deducted and she was sentenced to 2 years in prison.
