British actor Anthony Hopkins won the Oscar for Best Actor for his portrayal of a patient with dementia in "The Father".
The 83-year-old Hopkins, who missed the award ceremony last night, became the oldest actor to win a competitive Oscar, beating the late Henry Fonda, who won the award in 1982 at the age of 77 for "On Golden Bond".
And Hopkins previously won the Oscar for Best Actor in 1991 for the movie (Silence of the Lambs), in which he played the role of a serial killer, Hannibal Lecter.
