Police last night (Sunday) arrested two men aged 55 and 59 from Hadera on suspicion of raping a woman in her 50s, a resident of Caesarea.

The investigation was opened upon receipt of the complaint about the case, during which they were arrested for questioning.

In the end, they were imprisoned.

A hearing on the request for an extension of their detention will take place later in the day.

Meanwhile, the Haifa District Court this morning sentenced Shahar Rimoni, a 21-year-old discharged soldier, who in June last year raped a 10-year-old girl during a burglary in the Neve Sha'anan neighborhood of the city, to 17 years in prison. The girl for 100,000 shekels.

In January this year, the panel of judges Yehiel Lifshitz, Galit Ziegler and Shmuel Mandelbaum convicted Rimoni, represented by Adv. Eli Saban, after admitting everything attributed to him in the indictment.
