Police have begun preparing for the celebration of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai (Rashbi) that will take place on Thursday. In normal years, the Rashbi celebration is spread over two days, but this year it will last only one day, due to the celebration of the celebrants returning home before Shabbat.

One restriction is currently known to prevent infection in the corona: In the compound where the various Hasidim hold the fire lighting ceremony, there are three different lighting sessions that will be held in parallel, and 3,300 people will be able to participate in each lighting session.
