Actually, the nationwide emergency brake should ensure unity in the corona measures.

In Bavaria, however, stricter rules still apply - much to the annoyance of those affected.

Munich - Customers can expect a sea of flowers: “People want it colorful,” says Ulrich Gebert, who, together with his partner Simone Schröder, is currently taking over the Daglfinger Blumenhof from his father Thomas Gebert.

The greenhouses there are full of bright geraniums, petunias, begonias and many other plants.

There are also plenty of fruit and vegetable plants, trees and herbs.

Corona emergency brake: Exceptions apply nationwide for garden centers and flower shops

Actually, this would be the main business time.

“In the spring season, we normally make 80 percent of sales for the whole year,” explains Gebert.

But the Corona * restrictions on trade also apply to gardeners - at least in Bavaria.

Because the nationwide emergency brake provides for exceptions for garden centers and flower shops.

Bavaria, however, is initially sticking to stricter rules: From an incidence above 100, customers therefore not only need an appointment, but also a negative corona test in order to be able to shop.

If the incidence was above 150, only click and collect, i.e. the collection of ordered goods, would be possible.

“That is an immense effort for almost no sales,” complains Gebert.

That is why the Daglfinger Blumenhof, together with the Köstler bakery from Grafing (Ebersberg district), contacted the Minister of Economic Affairs, Hubert Aiwanger (FW).

Both companies are calling for flower shops, nurseries and garden centers to be opened regardless of the incidence '*.

To do this, they also started an online petition.

By noon yesterday, 9,319 people had signed.

The Bavarian trade association is also hoping for easing in the coming week for the gardening industry.

Stricter corona rules in Bavaria: "The situation is life-threatening for many nurseries"

"We don't understand why Bavaria is going a separate way again," says Ulrich Gebert. “The situation is threatening the very existence of many nurseries.” Because more and more discounters and grocery stores are also offering plants - and there is neither an appointment nor a corona test * required for shopping. "We are losing a lot of customers to the supermarkets," reports Gebert.

In the CSU it is likely that the rules * around the green will be relaxed again. The cabinet meets on Tuesday, and CSU MPs are calling for quick readjustments. "We shouldn't tighten the federal rules through Bavarian rules, especially in the nurseries, flower shops, garden centers and bookstores," says ex-Justice Minister Winfried Bausback, for example. Openings are possible with caution and hygiene rules *. Former minister and MP Christa Stewens also advises not to tighten the federal rules through Bavarian requirements. The Free Voters have also taken this side.

The disappointment is also great for Bavaria's amateur athletes.

Because here there could have been relief through federal legislation - even with incidence values over 100, children under 14 years of age could have done contactless sport in groups of five outdoors.

In fact, only individual sports without contact are allowed.

"We cannot understand adherence to the stricter regulations," says Jörg Ammon from the Bavarian State Sports Association.

He also points out that there is virtually no infection outdoors.

"We demand from politics in Bavaria to finally give club sport a perspective appropriate to the pandemic!"

Corona emergency brake in Bavaria: These rules now apply

Curfew

: Bavaria remains stricter.

You are not allowed to leave the house or garden between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. (except for professional reasons or in emergencies).

In contrast to federal regulations, it is not allowed to move around alone in the fresh air after 10 p.m.

Services

: Hairdressers and podiatrists are allowed to continue opening even if the incidence is high.

What is new, however, is that customers with an incidence of 100 or more must show a negative corona test.

According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, hand, fingernail and facial care will be prohibited from an incidence of 100 or more.

Retail

: What is new is that only between 100 and 150 people can shop with an appointment and a negative test.

So far this was allowed up to 200.

From an incidence of 150 (three days in a row), it is only possible to collect ordered goods.
