Explosions and a significant release of smoke led to the closure of the N 6 on Monday morning.
To avoid the risks, the Paris firefighters preferred to close this important traffic axis while they were responding to the fire in a pavilion, at 350 rue de Paris, in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges.
About twenty soldiers have been deployed since 9:30 am to extinguish the fire which ravaged the 80 m2 of this house squatted by around thirty Roma people for almost two years.
“The whole neighborhood, around twenty houses, was evacuated because several explosions, certainly gas cylinders, were heard,” says someone close to the file.
We don't want to take any chances.

Firefighters are looking for gas cylinders
"The fire was quickly brought under control and no longer risks spreading to other buildings," said an officer from the Paris fire department.
At this stage, no injuries are to be deplored.
It seems that all of the people living there were able to get out from the start of the disaster.
N 6 could remain closed until early afternoon.
Indeed, the emergency services are looking for any gas bottles in the junkyard in and around the pavilion and in the remains of the caravans installed on the ground.
Some heated by flames could explode.
The local police station opened an investigation to determine the origin of this disaster in this abandoned building and squatted for some time already.
